FASHION UPDATE
Take a plunge |
|
|
|
It's
time to dive straight into the blues because blue certainly is the
colour of the season. Designers have endorsed this 'aqualicious' palette
world over and nothing should stop you from taking the plunge either.
Begin with clothing and don't restrict the blue in your wardrobe to
blue jeans. Go for loose, lightweight and flowing fabrics –
especially muslin and chiffons – and look for a style that allows
you a breezy movement. Movement is extremely movement when wearing
a fluid colour like blue. Think clouds and a clear blue sky; think
waters of a white sandy beach and set yourself against that back drop.
Pair the blue (or shades of blue) with white, cream, grey or khaki
and it'll be impossible to go wrong. |

When
doing your making, paint your eyelids blue with confidence. Just make
sure they look bright and luminous and not opaque and pasty. L'Oreal
has come up with brilliant HiP: high intensity pigments for the eyes
and the bright shadow duos are perfect to achieve the look you want.
If you're traveling abroad this summer, following the fad will be
easy, but even in Pakistan, blue is easily available at the L'Oreal,
Cover Girl and Rimmel counters at all leading departmental stores,
as well as foreign franchises like Body Shop.
Accessorizing with blue is the tricky part and it's advisable to stay
away from blue jewelry unless a) you've picked up a high end, branded
luxury product or b) you

have
the confidence and personality to carry it off with oomph. Other than
that, blue jewelry can tend to get and look tacky. Instead, go for
contemporary silver or gold. It'll make a winning combination. |
