Fashion Week may be tempting designers with foreign buyers but ahead
of the game, as always, Zahir Rahimtoola has relaunched Labels as
Pakistan's own, very first multi label boutique in Karachi. Last week's
launch brought designers Maheen, Deepak Perwani, Samyra Rashid, Maheen
Karim, Zara Shahjahan, Nayna and Labels' in house brought young spark
Anisa onboard, with a promise of Sonya Battla joining the troupe in
December after PFW.
With his wife Sheherzad's fabulous diamond jewellery on the same floor
and a café (Coffee Day) down below, Labels will prove to be
a shopper's paradise. Zahir is Pakistan's first and currently only
fashion retailer and Labels has blossomed as a fabulous one-stop-shop
for over-enthusiastic fashionistas. The man has a vision and he's
putting it to brilliant use. Also on the Advisory Board of PFW, Zahir
credits "the spirit of Pakistan Fashion Week" with the positive
changes at Labels. "If fashion week wasn't happening, I doubt
that I would be able to get these designers on board," he told
