Deepak Perwani and Maheen Khan are among Pakistan's most prominent designers who have often showcased their work abroad, but this year they're taking it to an all-new level. Deepak and Maheen will be showing at the prestigious Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010 this month. Milan Fashion Week is one of the major milestones of the fashion week calendar, and major designers and design houses such as Giorgio Armani, Versace and Jil Sander show at MFW. Deepak and Maheen will be showing in the upcoming designers' show, which is part of the N-U-DE New Upcoming Designers Project launched by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana to enhance international designers.
One is supremely glad to see Pakistani designers setting foot on international runways such as Milan Fashion Week. May this be the first of many more, but for taking a step towards the right direction…Deepak Perwani and Maheen Khan are our hotsteppers of the week! |
