WHO      Frieha Altaf & Aaminah Haq
WHAT   Frieha: Event Manager Aaminah: Ex-super model

WHERE                 Ensemble launch, Lahore
There's an oft-quoted theory that when economic conditions worsen, hemlines go super-long. We don't know if its that reason or just a remarkable change in trends, but hemlines have reached floor skimming levels. The outfits worn by Frieha and Aaminah at the launch of Ensemble in Lahore are not only spot-on with the trend, but also represent a new way of style: doing away with pants altogether since these win points for modesty as well as are extremely flattering.

Aaminah Haq carries off the look in a pale pink Sadaf Malaterre outfit.

Frieha Altaf's outfit - bought at an exhibition at Mélange - combines tradition with the trend.

How to hop onto the hemline bandwagonFayeza Ansari wears Nida Azwer at Azwer's debut solo show. It combines traditional work with a contemporary look and its low-fuss enough to be worn to anything from a mehndi to a family dinner.

Model Nadia Hussain conjured up her own one-shoulder tunic to wear to the TRC red carpet.
This Kamiar Rokni creation is edgy enough to be worn as a casual dress and can be worn with anything from churidar pajamas (like Sanam Saeed has here) to skinny jeans to wide-legged trousers.

Zeba Husain wears an outfit from the Ensemble in-house label to the TRC show this year. Black and with minimum detail, it can be dressed up and down and is long enough to keep it perfectly chic sans pants.
