And why should that fact make us so joyful? Well, we don't know! But knowing
that Lindsay doesn't look like someone dumped a bottle of peroxide on her head
and left it there to cool while she lay in her crypt for a 100 years is something
to heart for sure.
Remember the Lindsay of yore? This is before the DUI's and charges of possession
and confused relationships made every sighting of Lindsay seem like she had just
been kicked out the club for inhaling everything at the bar in one whiff. That
Lindsay did mindless albeit some very cute films like Confessions Of A Teenage
Drama Queen (in which her makeup was totally inspired), Freaky Friday (in which
she was the paradoxical clean-cut Rocker Chick) and Mean Girls (naïve, math
loving newbie). The red hair just reminds us of those times.
While she still sports her new trout pout, and is still a bit gaunt from her
brush with eating disorders of all kinds, Lindsay's red hair bring back memories
of more innocent times and that is something that puts a smile on the face.
Gossip Girl Returns!
Oh, how summer is unbearable without our one and only source into the scandalous
lives of Manhattan's elite! But the wait is over, Gossip Girl is returning with
an all new season on September 13. The first trailer is out and has created quite
a lot of hype as it shows the two besties ending up in Paris trying to forget
their boys back home. It also shows that Chuck Bass is ALIVE so you all can heave
a sigh of relief. Blair finds a completely transformed Chuck Bass in France.
What happens between them is yet to be seen. It sure will be a rollercoaster
ride!
Rumor has it that Blair and Serena end up in a fight over social supremacy yet
again and this time it looks serious! Serena as usual finds some new French
boys to cuddle up with in Paris! While Serena, Blair and Chuck are busy in Paris,
Nate finds a woman back at home who gives him an insight into the new playboy
ways. How naughty Nate? Well, that's how we love him, don't we? And poor Dan
is shown dealing with the pregnant Georgina in the trailer. Jenny Humphrey fans
[if there are any] don't need to worry either because it's said that she is also
expected to come back to the Upper East Side even though she left in a rather
dramatic fashion in the last season. She will be back in the first half of the
season, let's just wait and see what she's up to now.
The seventh episode will feature a female music superstar, which one is a surprise
for us but the producer of the show has told that not only will she sing but
feature in a role acting with the rest of cast. Oh wow, I bet you are excited
to watch the season premiere. Tune in on September 13!

Cooling off at Koel Café
Protected from the noise and the pollution, Koel Café is the perfect spot
to have lunch or dinner outdoors while enjoying the sunlight but not getting
toasted at the same time.
The café has an incredibly earthy décor, where one is surrounded
with a pond filled with water lilies and a fountain surrounded by pebbles. There
is even the option to sit in the air-conditioned hall if the tables outside are
already taken, which is normal considering how tiny the place is. On a regular
weekend, it becomes difficult to grab a table on your favourite spot.
The food itself is a treat, because the menu has light treats and some refreshing
drinks, such as the delicious shikanjibeen which should be tried at least once
by everyone. Also, the desserts served are some of the most uniquely presented
desserts in all of Karachi.
Also, Koel is perhaps one of the only places in Karachi which plays only Pakistani
music by some of the best Pakistani singers (Kaavish, Zeb and Haniya and Shafqat
Amanat Ali to name a few).
To cut a long story short, Koel is one place which is waiting to be discovered
by people who appreciate a peaceful atmosphere, good music, and some great food!
