The stowaway cat reunited with the family after it was accidentally mailed to California with an Amazon package return.

According to BBC, the cat, Galena, disappeared from her home in Utah earlier this month.

Galena's missing prompted widespread searches by her owners, Mr. and Mrs. Clark.

Nearly a week later, an Amazon worker rescued her from the large box of pairs of steel-toed work boots and took he to the vet.

Moreover, surprisingly, the cat was in good health despite not having food and water for days.

When the cat’s microchip was scanned, the contact details of Mr. Clark appeared.

The cast’s owner, Carrie Clark, told KSL TV, “She’s a hider. She loves to play in boxes. It’s just a part of her personality.”

Mrs. Clark described it as the “Most amazing, insane news in the entire world. I didn't believe her (the vet) at first and thought it was a prank.”

She, along with her husband, then flew more than 1,000 miles to retrieve their pet.

Carrie Clark expressed, “It was an amazing reunion! Galena instantly stopped shaking and relaxed in my arms when I got to hold her again."
