Eugene Mirman, the voice actor for Bob's Burgers, has spoken out after suffering a horrific car crash in New Hampshire.
On Friday, April 3, the actor who voices Gene Belcher in the hit animated series shared a snap of himself on Instagram with the caption, "Thank you so much for all the well wishes, love and kind messages from friends and strangers."
He also expressed his gratitude towards the bystanders, first responders who pulled him out of the burning crash and the hospital staff who took care of him post-accident.
"I am thankful beyond words to be here and doing relatively alright, all things considered. I don’t have my phone, so haven’t been online much. I do not recommend my method of decreasing screen-time," he added.
The crash happened on Tuesday while the actor was driving on the F.E. Everett Turnpike in New Hampshire, and Mirman crashed into the Bedford Toll Plaza.
His car went into flames, and he was pulled from the vehicle by a group of bystanders, including a state trooper on the security detail of Governor Kelly Ayotte, who was at the scene.
As per the initial reports, Mirman sustained "serious injuries" and was transported to a nearby hospital.
In the hit animated sitcom Bob's Burgers, Mirman voices Gene Belcher, and he has been part of the show for all 16 instalments.
