PlayStation has officially announced that State of Play and State of Play Japan is set to make a return on September 3 with two broadcasts airing back-to-back.
The presentations are set to feature updates from PlayStation Studios and third-party partners, along with deeper looks at the forthcoming games from developers across Asia and Japan.
State of Play highlights
The first broadcast will feature the latest announcements and updates from PlayStation Studios and its third-party partners.
One of the significant highlights will be an extended look at Final Fantasy VII Revelation, with Square Enix slated to display more details regarding the forthcoming game.
The presentation will be accessible in English, with Japanese subtitles for viewers who prefer them.
State of Play Japan follows
Shortly after the main presentation, State of Play Japan is slated to kick off, sparking excitement among all the gaming enthusiasts.
The show was once again hosted by Japanese voice actor and presenter Yuki Kaji.
The Japan-focused broadcast will offer deeper dives into upcoming games from studios across Japan and Asia. Viewers can expect new gameplay footage, announcements, and other updates.
Both broadcasts will stream live on September 3 at 6:00 a.m. PT / 9:00 a.m. ET / 3:00 p.m. CEST / 10:00 p.m. JST via YouTube and Twitch. State of Play Japan will be presented in Japanese with English subtitles.
Co-streaming and VOD notice
Notably, PlayStation has warned creators and co-streamers that the broadcasts may contain copyrighted material, including licensed music. Sony Interactive Entertainment does not have control on these rights, meaning copyright restrictions could affect co-streams and archived videos.
Creators planning to save the broadcasts as VODs or use clips are strongly advised to omit copyrighted music to avoid possible problems.
