Lamine Yamal is back in action with special tribute to little brother.
The Spanish sensation had two goals in FC Barcelona's 5-0 road win over Valencia on Sunday, Sept. 6. It was his first time scoring in the La Liga season so far.
His first goal came in the sixth minute to open scoring. The 19-year-old received a pass and, while running, kicked his leg waist-high, hitting the ball with the tip of his toes to send it into the net.
For his celebration, he put his thumb to his mouth to show love to his toddler brother, Keyne, whose fourth birthday was reportedly the day of the match. Keyne and Yamal's mother were at the fixture cheering him on.
Fermín López, Raphinha and Yamal's Spain national team teammate and Golden Ball winner Rodri, each scored a goal to further Barça's lead.
Yamal's goals served as the bookends for the match and his second one was the final score of the day. In the 84th minute, he received a pass from Dani Olmo and then struck the ball with his left leg, sending it across his body and into the net.
The win makes Barcelona 4-0 and the club is at the top of the La Liga table.
Yamal has already broken several records for Barcelona and the league and missed the end of last season with a hamstring injury. Barcelona won the La Liga title in May.
He won this summer's World Cup with Spain for the country's second men's title. He had one goal in the tournament.
