Travis Kelce achieved a new milestone in his first game after the wedding to Taylor Swift as his wife supported him on stands.
As the Kansas City Chiefs tight end began his 14th NFL (National Football League) season, he continued to write his name in record books.
Chiefs on Monday night, September 14, claimed a 31-10 win over the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium.
According to the NFL, the 36-year-old American football tight end wasted no time to make his new NFL season’s beginning historic and memorable by climbing to second place on the all-time tight end receiving yards list.

Kelce caught a 59-yard pass from his friend Patrick Mahomes in the third quarter to pass longtime Dallas Cowboys stalwart and Hall of Famer Jason Witten for second all-time.
The new milestone sparked celebration in Travis’ suit, where Taylor Swift started jumping for joy alongside brother-in-law Jason Kelce and her mum Andrea Swift.
It was Travis’ longest run since Week 15, 2021, when he turned in a 69-yarder against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Ahead of Monday’s season opener, Kelce had 13,002 yards, needing 45 to surpass Witten (13,046). The three-time Super Bowl winner now trails only Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez (15,127) in receiving yards by a tight end.
Following the game, when speaking to ESPN’s Laura Rutledge, the Happy Gilmore star downplayed the personal milestone to celebrate the Chiefs' win.
He said, “It’s a good feeling to get this win, all the other stuff is just hoopla now.”
Kelce finished the 2025 season with 76 receptions for 851 yards and five touchdowns, and he remains Kansas City's all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards.
Kelce, an 11-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro, currently ranks fifth among tight ends with 82 touchdowns and third in receptions (1,083). Besides that, he has the most 100-yard games by a tight end (38), and his 1,416 yards in 2020 remain a single-season best at the position.
