Giselle of the globally famous K-pop girl group aespa has landed in hot water after netizens noticed concerning posts on her Instagram linked to serial killers and violence.
Fans have shared several of the singer's old posts, including images featuring guns and knives, and posts referencing real-life criminals, sparking backlash.
Moreover, users also pointed out Giselle using music by controversial figures, including XXXTentacion.
Giselle posts shirt featuring Richard Ramirez
The biggest controversy has been an image involving a shirt featuring convicted serial killer Richard Ramirez, with netizens accusing Giselle of glorifying criminals and abuse.
On August 22, Giselle shared a carousel of clicks on her personal account, which included a picture of someone wearing a shirt featuring Richard Ramirez, who is known as the "night stalker", whose victims include a 6-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy.
It could not be confirmed if the person wearing the shirt was Giselle herself or someone else as the face was hidden by a cap.
Reacting to the post, one fan on X penned, "What the hell is wrong with Gisele? Supporting pedos, rape, child abuse, crimes, all that shit, and expressing it so blatantly."
Giselle called out for posting disturbing film
Moreover, another screenshot was also shared on X from Giselle's account, featuring a scene from Léon, a film heavily criticised for sexualising a 12-year-old character.
"Giselle is 26 thirsting over pedophiles and teenage abusers like..that girl's brain is fried," one user penned on X.
Another post read, "Giselle needs to seek help. and the mys trying to justify this by saying its for the "aesthetic" makes it worse actually. using abusers, child r@pists, and criminals to look cool on social media is insane."

Seemingly reacting to the online backlash, Giselle sent a message on Bubble, igniting more backlash.
When a fan messaged on the app, "i love how u dgaf but still get behind me ill pro...", the Japanese-born artist simply replied, "hahhaha ily"
