David Beckham spends an “special evening” with Prince and Princes of Wales to celebrate his “friend” Tom Cruise.
Beckham attended the Royal Film Performance of Digger on Tuesday night, September 22, and posed alongside Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton at the Odeon Luxe in Leicester Square.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the Inter Miami co-founder shared some glimpses of the high-profile evening.
He wrote, “Special evening in London to celebrate the world premiere of @diggerthemovie with my friend @tomcruise… what an incredible performance. Always such an honour to spend time with @princeandprincessofwales.”
The former English footballer also shared some pictures from the star-studded night, featuring William, Kate, his sons Romeo and Cruz and Mission Impossible star.
The 51-year-old attended the event with two of his sons, who all cut a smart figure in tuxedos and clasped hands for photos with the royals while the eldest son Brooklyn, 27, was not present amid the family’s ongoing dispute.
The former footballer, who was knighted by King Charles at Windsor Castle last November for his services to sport and charity, has previously spoken openly about his wish for the honour and arrived looking impeccable in classic evening wear.
Cruz and Romeo mirrored their father’s tuxedo style and appeared relaxed as they stood alongside David Beckham and the royal couple before the screening of Tom Cruise’s new satirical comedy, in which Cruise plays Digger Rockwell.
The premiere, hosted by Warner Bros and held in support of the Film and TV Charity, saw William and Catherine welcomed by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of London before being escorted down the red carpet by Marcus Ryder, chief executive of the Film and TV Charity, and chair Claire Tavernier. They were greeted warmly by Cruise, director Alejandro G Iñárritu and cast members including Riz Ahmed.
