Taapsee Pannu has some meaningful advices to share.
The 39-year-old Indian actress, who married her longtime boyfriend Mathias Boe two years ago, has never treated her relationship with him like a public spectacle, and after 13 years together, she has finally offered a glimpse into the values she believes have helped their bond last.
Speaking to Nayandeep Rakshit in a new chat for his YouTube channel, the Dunki star finally reflected on her 13-year-long relationship with her retired Danish professional badminton player husband.
The actress noted that unlike what many people think, romance is not everything in a relationship, as a strong partnership need many other qualities that are often overlooked.

Speaking to the host, Pannu shared that emotional security and mutual respect have played a much bigger role than romance in her and Boe’s more than a decade long love story.
“The same year I debuted in Bollywood is when I started dating him. And I have held him close to me for all these years. Because I don't think I can do any better. I think this is the best decision I have made in my life. Because, your family is what God has given to you… my profession was also not by purely choice, it was by co-incidence. So, this was my choice! I am so proud of it,” she stated.
The Badla star continued, “We have been together for 13 years… There is extreme sense of security. Most importantly, immense respect for each other. Immense. Love comes after that. If the base of a relationship is not respect then that relationship won't last for a very long time.”
“In the film industry itself I see a lot of colleagues who want to find love regardless of whatever profession… but it is hard, and it is getting harder. I am not sure why, do we value temporary happiness more? I had a totally opposite experience,” she added.

After first meeting at a badminton tournament in India in 2013, Taapsee Pannu and Mathias Boe stayed inn a low-key relationship for over a decade, keeping their love out of the public eye.
In March 2024, the couple secretly tied the knot in a small, private ceremony in Udaipur, attended only by their close family and friends.

In the same interview, Taapsee Pannu was questioned why she did not announce her wedding publicly, to which she replied, "Why should I have a public announcement? I’ve always kept my personal and professional lives apart. Not that I want to hide them, am scared or embarrassed of them. But I’ve refrained from making announcements.”
She noted that according to her, marriage is personal, adding that she wanted to keep it like that as it feels very weird to put out a press note or a deck of photos and videos.
