Salman Khan will not be hosting this week’s Weekend Ka Vaar on Bigg Boss Season 20.
On Sunday, October 18 episode of the reality TV show, the Tubelight star announced that he is set to skip the upcoming Weekend Ka Vaar episode.
While the Indian actor did not reveal the reason behind skipping the forthcoming episode, he shared that filmmaker Rohit Shetty will replace him as host next week.
The announcement has sparked curiosity among fans over how Shetty would host the show and handle the drama inside the house, shared Hindustan Times.
It is worth noting that the Chennai Express director himself is no stranger to hosting reality TV shows, as he has hosted several seasons of Khatron Ke Khiladi.
Tiger Shroff firing incident
Salman Khan’s decision to skip this week’s Bigg Boss 20 Weekend Ka Vaar episode came hours after Tiger Shroff survived a shooting attempt in Mumbai on Sunday evening, October 18.
The 36-year-old actor was attacked by three motorcycle-borne gunmen, who opened fire at him in Mumbai’s Juhu.
Following the incident, the Heropanti actor immediately escaped. However, he appeared to have suffered some injuries as his first photos after the incident showed him in bandages at the center of his chest and on right arm and forearm, sitting with Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
It was later reported that after the terrifying shooting incident, which is reportedly done by the Bishnoi gang – who has long been threatening and attempting attacks on Khan over the 1998 blackbuck hunting incident – Mumbai police increased security outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy apartment.
Police personnel in bulletproof jacket and additional vehicles were spotted outside the superstar's Bandra residence. Officers were also seen checking vehicles near Khan’s home as a precautionary measure.
