Wrestling legend Ric Flair was rushed to a Tampa hospital after falling outside a Florida restaurant.
The 77-year-old WWE Hall of Famer was at a Wagamama venue when he walked away from the bar leaving behind his phone and drink and crossed the street before collapsing.
Extent of injuries
Reports indicate that Flair suffered severe facial lacerations, cutting his head and eye open. Emergency responders arrived quickly, providing medical assistance on the scene as his eye was bleeding heavily.
First responders transported him to a local hospital via ambulance with medical teams treating him for suspected concussion symptoms and head trauma.
Existing health struggles
The sudden accident occurred just hours after Flair shared an update about his health on social media.
He announced the cancellation of his scheduled appearance at the Washington State Horror Con due to a serious blood clot in his leg which prompted doctors to strictly limit his flight travel.
Flair noted that he is scheduled for a surgical procedure to strip the affected vein, though it remains uncertain how his recent facial injuries and hospital stay will affect that treatment timeline.
