Star dog Messi set to interview celebs at Cannes Film Festival

Messi, the famed dog actor, known for his role in the Oscar-winning movie Anatomy of a Fall, is set to take on a new role as an interviewer at the Cannes Film Festival next weekfrom 14 to 25 May 2024.

As reported by multiple outlets, accompanied by comedian Raphael Mezrahi lending his voice, Messi will use a special 360-degree microphone and camera attached to his back to chat with celebrities.

Mezrahi humbly stated, "He's the star... I'm just lending him my voice."

Meanwhile, short clips of these exclusive interviews will be available on French channels and TikTok, showcasing Messi's charming interactions with the stars.

Moreover, Messi gained global attention for his role in Anatomy of a Fall, winning the prestigious Palm Dog prize for best canine performance at Cannes.

His presence on social media soared when he was photographed with Hollywood icons like Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, and Billie Eilish during the Oscar campaign.

Messi has proved his acting chops: in one scene in the film, he had to feign intoxication and vomiting.

While, behind the scenes, coach and owner Laura Martin revealed that it took two months of preparation, during which Messi learned to position his neck strangely and be "carried with his body very limp" to look unconscious.

Additionally, Martin hinted that Messi has been offered an "American script" post-Oscars but kept details under wraps.
