Christopher Nolan gears for another potential hit!
The acclaimed Hollywood director's next big film is reportedly slated to release on July 17, 2026, with Oppenheimer’s supporting actor Matt Damon in talks for the leading role.
As reported by Hollywood Reporter, Nolan, who publicly exited his longtime home Warner Bros, in 2020, is now setting up his upcoming film at Oppenheimer studio.
Report further revealed that the Interstellar director will also serve as the writer on the film, and co-produce it with Emma Thomas under their Syncopy banner.
For those unfamiliar, Damon has also previously appeared in Nolan’s blockbuster hit films, Interstellar and Oppenheimer.
In Oppenheimer, which won the Best Picture Oscar in 2023 alongside five other Academy Awards, Damon played the character of Lt. Gen Leslie Groves.
While in Interstellar, the Good Will Hunting actor played the role of Dr. Mann.
According the sources, this upcoming film was directly helmed by the Universal studio.
Although, details are yet to be disclosed, sources have confirmed that the project is not a big-screen take on 1960s British series The Prisoner.
