In a significant update, Spotify has unveiled the latest mode to its phone app for individuals who want to listen to music on runs, offering an enhanced user experience to all the fitness freaks.

The latest running mode shows up songs depending on different phases of runs, and selects tracks based on your preferences and tempo.

How to use Spotify’s running mode?

To access the latest feature, only paid subscribers can see the running mode in Fitness Hub, who can choose from one of the 25 presets.

Users can easily select their workout type from options such as interval runs, steady runs or pyramids, and can customize the duration, beats per minute, and the kind of music they want to listen to.

While playing songs, running mode can also generate audio cues for several stages of your run as well.

Currently, this feature is only available in English.

The new mode takes advantage of the AI chops Spotify has been experimenting as part of its prompted playlists for the past year.

The streaming platform mentioned that many people use this feature to create lists for fitness and workout activities.

Earlier this year, the Swedish-music streaming giant launched fitness content with fitness device maker Peloton.

The running mode comes a couple of months after fitness app Strava stated its Record feature would no longer incorporate Spotify within the app.
