Queen Rania is a proud grandma!
The Queen of Jordan, who recently became grandmother of two more grandchildren, took to her official Instagram Stories on Saturday, August 15, to joyfully announce the names of her youngest grandkids.
In the update, the Jordanian Queen posted an image that translates to, “Praise be to God, who bestows in the best way. The Most Merciful has blessed us with His most beautiful gift, the arrival of our precious twins,” referring to Princess Iman’s newborn twin daughters.
Announcing the names of Iman and her husband Jameel’s little bundles of joy, Rania revealed, “Talia and Rania,” with the latter named after the Queen herself.
“We ask God to bless them, protect them, and fill their lives with light, blessings, and happiness. Iman and Jameel. August 14, 2026,” the statement concluded.
Notably, Princess Iman's twins are King Abdullah II and Queen Rania's third and fourth grandchildren. Their first grandchild, Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa's daughter, Princess Iman, was born in August 2024.
Royal Hashemite Court announces birth of Princess Iman’s twin daughters
On Friday, August 14, the Royal Hashemite Court released a heartfelt statement on its official website, announcing that Princess Iman had welcomed twin girls with her husband, Jameel Thermiotis.
The Royal Hashemite Court is pleased to announce that Her Royal Highness Princess Iman bint Abdullah II and Mr. Jameel Alexander Thermiotis were blessed, on 14 August 2026, with twin baby girls,” read the joyful update.
The statement continued, “Hashemite Court extends its sincere congratulations and best wishes to Princess Iman and Mr. Jameel, as well as to Their Majesties King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and Queen Rania Al Abdullah on this happy occasion.”
Princess Iman and Jameel Alexander Thermiótis relationship
Princess Iman’s engagement to Venezuelan Jameel Alexander Thermiótis was announced on July 6, 2022, by the Royal Hashemite Court.
The couple got married on March 12, 2023, at Beit Al Urdun Palace and welcomed their first child, daughter Amina, on February 16, 2025.
