When did Prince William reveal his coffee order?
William's coffee order was revealed during the Prince and Princess of Wales' visit to Borough Market in March 2026.
During the exciting trip, Princess Kate transformed herself into an enthusiastic barista student, as she learned how to craft a cappuccino and showed interest in latte art.
Reason behind the visit
William and Kate were visiting Change Please, a social enterprise fighting the homelessness crisis by training those experiencing homelessness with barista skills, providing them with a living-wage job, accommodation advice, and services like therapy, employment connections, and banking advice.
Prince William needs his coffee decaffeinated
As she prepared the coffee, the mother-of-three called out her husband as she told him, "William, William? I made you a coffee!"
However, the Prince had to decline the "beautiful" coffee after Kate revealed that it was not decaf.
Why does Prince William prefer decaf drink?
Prince William has been cutting back on caffeine lately to help his mood and his mental health.
On a recent podcast appearance, William shared that "if I drink coffee, I get completely bananas".
He explained that "there's too much caffeine, caffeine gets me really agitated, actually. If I overdo the caffeine, I definitely feel it during the day".
Princess Kate's coffee order
Princess Kate did not reveal her coffee of choice at the visit; however, a few years ago, a local barista near her Kensington Palace home revealed that she usually orders an oat milk latte.
In the past, she has been known to order a soy cappuccino or a decaf skinny latte from her local Starbucks.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that King Charles prefers to drink Darjeeling tea with honey, and Queen Camilla has often been photographed with a cappuccino.
