King Charles' office has issued monarch's first official message since the announcement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's UK return.
On Monday, August 24, the 77-year-old king took time out during his ongoing annual holidays at Balmoral Castle in Scotland to extend his heartfelt wishes for the people of Ukraine as they mark 35th Independence Day.
In the message, which was shared by the British Embassy in Kyiv, "As we reflect upon Ukraine's proud history, rich culture and indomitable national spirit, we are reminded of the extraordinary fortitude Ukrainians have shown in defending their homeland and preserving the identity and values which define your nation."
"Both my wife and I send our sincere and special wishes to you and to all Ukrainians for the possibility of peace, security and prosperity in the year ahead," the King added.
King Charles also commended the people of Ukraine for their unwavering determination, which continue to inspire people across the United Kingdom and around the world.
This message marks King's first since his son, Prince Harry shocked the internet with his sudden UK return plan with wife Meghan Markle and kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
As per The Telegraph's report, Harry and Meghan have decided to move back to the UK next month for an "extended period".
The couple - who are returning to the UK after six years have also enrolled their kids to a school in London, which will be started from September.
