Justin and Hailey Bieber appeared to share an intense exchange at Billie Eilish’s brother Finneas’ wedding, as the couple approaches their eighth wedding anniversary.
The Peaches singer posted sweet snaps from Finneas O'Connell's wedding to Claudia Sulewski in Santa Barbara on Saturday, but he and the Rhode founder seemingly had an intense exchange at one point during the celebration.
Hailey appeared visibly expressive during the exchange, using animated hand gestures before walking away from her longtime beau.
For Finneas O’Connell and Claudia Sulewski’s wedding, Hailey wore a lime green vintage Versace gown with a plunging neckline, pairing it with diamond earrings and a vintage Gucci bag.
She was joined by husband Justin Bieber at the event, who opted for an oversized suit with wide-leg pants and a cropped jacket.
Body language expert Judi James told the Daily Mail that “the way that Hailey looks back at her husband as he walks away after their animated conversation gives the impression of tension or drama here.”
James added that Justin's “gently hunched posture and the way his arms hang slightly in front of his torso makes him look less motivated and less positive here.”
However, the expert said the exchange did not appear to be an argument, noting that Hailey was gesturing and pointing but not at Justin.
The couple’s appearance at the O’Connell and Sulewski wedding comes just weeks before their eighth wedding anniversary in September.
Hailey and Justin tied the knot in a New York City courthouse on September 13, 2018.
In 2019, they celebrated a large-scale wedding with family and friends, later documenting the event on YouTube.
Notably, the couple recently celebrated their son Jack Blues’ second birthday on August 22, with Hailey sharing a series of photos on Instagram.
O’Connell and Sulewski married in a garden ceremony at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, with Billie Eilish officiating.
The star-studded guests included Nina Dobrev, Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard and Jason Sudeikis.
