Charli XCX has finally spoken out amid intense fan backlash.
On Friday, September 11, the Brat hitmaker announced the UK and Europe dates of her ongoing Music, Fashion, Film Tour, igniting fury among fans as they expressed disappointed over six-show short-run and ignoring many of the cities and countries.
The backlash forced the 34-year-old singer to address fans’ concerns and frustration, explaining that she finds touring “emotionally and physically hard.”
In her post’s comments, Charli wrote, “hi everyone. i know there’s a lot of frustration in the comments about the fact that i am not doing lots of dates. i am really sorry if you feel disappointed but i have to honor my truth as an artist: touring is really emotionally and physically hard for me.”

She continued, “i am not looking for sympathy and i have a huge amount of respect for artists who can handle it at an intense, lengthy and high octane level, but i am just not one of those human beings and i never have been. this was also part of my reasoning behind doing a shorter north american run too.”
“i’m sorry if you feel i am letting you down, i really am. perhaps one day i will be built for the kind of touring you expect from me but right now i am not. if you’re coming to a show i hope you have fun and enjoy it, and i will try my best to stay in a healthy and positive mindset and enjoy it too xx lots of love, charli,” the British singer concluded.
The Speed Drive hitmaker is set to kick off the 2027 UK and Europe leg of the tour on February 13 in Dublin, Ireland.
She will then perform in Glasgow on February 15, Manchester on February 17, London on February 19, Amsterdam on February 22, before concluding the six-show run in Paris on February 24.
