Blake Lively's dark legal harassment era has officially ended for Justin Baldoni!
The 42-year-old actor and director has returned to the acting scene after nearly two years of a hard-fought legal battle with his former It Ends With Us co-actress.
On Tuesday, September 15th, Justin turned to his Instagram account to share a glimpse of himself emotionally reuniting alongside his longtime fellow, Gina Rodriguez.
"Hey Director @hereisgina Day 1. God is good," the father of two captioned his post.
About Justin Baldoni's new upcoming film
Deadline also confirmed that the Jane the Virgin actor has signed on to produce Rodriguez's theatrical directorial debut boxing film, House of Guerrero.
However, this time Justin will be serving as the producer of the project through Wayfarer Studios, while Rodriguez is directing and also serving as a producer.
Based on an original story by Gina Rodriguez and screenwriter Bernardo Cubría, House of Guerrero follows "a young fighter whose promising boxing career is cut short before he gets one last shot at stepping back into the ring and fighting for the life he thought he'd lost forever."
As per the press release for the movie, the project has been referred to as "a boxing film for a new generation" that "brings a fresh perspective to the genre while centring a community that has long shaped the sport."
First project after two years of Blake Lively legal harassment case
House of Guerrero marks the first time Rodriguez and Baldoni have reunited professionally since their hit CW series Jane the Virgin.
The two initially starred together in their first movie, Jane the Virgin, where Baldoni played Rafael Solano, while Gina Rodriguez played the title character Jane Gloriana Villanueva.
Notably, the actress is one of Justin Baldoni's closest allies who publicly supported her former Jane the Virgin co-star Justin Baldoni after he and his wife shared an emotional video addressing the toll of his legal battle and settlement with Blake Lively.
This move also marked the celebration of his two-year harassment case against Blake Lively, especially after her recent legal snub.
Blake Lively's recent legal snub
Despite settling their lawsuit, which was initially filed in December 2024, earlier this year the Gossip Girl alum was awarded $407,000 in legal fees and court costs by a federal judge, granted a lesser amount than what she asked for.
The legal battle between the two caused professional damage, as the actor was dropped him as as a client immediately.
