Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour are gearing up to team up once again on screen.
At the 2026 Emmy Awards on Monday, September 14, the 51-year-old actor teased his next project, sharing that he will once again portray the 22-year-old British actress’s father.
The duo have previously worked as father-daughter on the hit Netflix show, Stranger Things.
As shared by the Hellboy star, he and Brown are joining forces for a new Netflix series, which is created by Adolescence co-creator Jack Thorne.
Speaking to Variety on Emmy Awards red carpet, David Harbour expressed his excited to explore the father-daughter dynamics once again with Millie Bobby Brown as the actress has entered her 20s.
He noted that the “father-daughter dynamics” is one that “I think we play very well and are very interested in.”
“She’s now in her 20s. And I think with Stranger Things, we explored a lot of teen things, and now we want to explore, like, what does it mean to father someone in their 20s who’s going through all kinds of things, and he’s going through all kinds of things, and what does family mean?” he shared of what the series will explore,” the Black Widow actor added.
Harbour went on to say, “But at its core, it has an incredible propulsive engine with action and entertainment, and Jack Thorne is writing it, who is a master. And I’m just so excited for us to start working,” he said.
In the upcoming project, which was announced by Netflix in June, Harbour has been locked in to play Matt Wolfe, a disgraced FBI agent who is forced to return to the field after his estranged daughter Rebecca, portrayed by Brown, goes missing during a mission. Following in her dad’s footsteps, Rebecca also becomes an FBI agent.
The series will be executive produced by David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, and her husband, Jake Bongiovi.
