Madonna is revisiting her painful experience of giving birth in an emotional post.
The 68-year-old American singer turned to Instagram on Wednesday, October 14, to pen an emotional tribute, ringing in her eldest child, daughter Lourdes "Lola" Leon's milestone 30th birthday.
Recalling being in the labor room three decades ago, Madonna opened up about her experience, calling her daughter’s birth “dramatic.”
“Happy Birthday My Lolita! You came to me in a Dream. A fever dream. A Dream called Life. If I tried to write it all down, I would cry a river of tears. Your chin was tilted up in my birth canal, you were looking for the stars you were stuck,” she began.
The Vogue hitmaker continued, “After 18 hours of labor and your heartbeat slowing down, an emergency C-section was the only option. Did I mention the helicopters and news crews swirling above our heads on the top floor of the hospital in East LA?”
“You’re birth was dramatic. Like our lives. Our connection - it is Biblical. When I ask God to explain it to me. He tells me- Look in the mirror! We are Two side sides of the same coin. If what we risk reveals what we value then I would risk it all on you. Never forget who you are- Little Star, shining brighter than all the stars in the sky,” the songstress wrote.
Alongside the emotional tribute, Madonna posted a carousel of throwback and recent clicks, showing glimpses of her heartwarming moments with Lourdes.

The Material Girl singer has six children: two biological – daughter Lourdes “Lola” Leon and son Rocco Ritchie, and four adopted – son David Banda, and daughters Chifundo “Mercy” James, Stella Mwale, and Estere Mwale.
Notably, she shares Lourdes with her ex-boyfriend Carlos Leon and Rocco with her former husband Guy Ritchie.
