Dallas Cowboys running back Javonte Williams powered into the end zone from one yard out early in the second half, giving his team its first points against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football.

Williams punches it in

After trailing 17-0 at halftime, the Cowboys needed a quick answer. The Packers started the third quarter with the ball but went three-and-out thanks to a holding penalty. Dallas took over and marched 46 yards in seven plays.

Quarterback Dak Prescott converted a key fourth-and-2 with a pass to CeeDee Lamb. Williams then did the heavy lifting near the goal line carrying the ball multiple times before punching it in from the 1-yard line. The extra point made the score Packers 17, Cowboys 7.

Eighth or Seventh score of the season

The touchdown marked Williams’ seventh or eighth of the 2026 season, keeping him among the NFL’s top rushing touchdown scorers. He finished the drive with strong short-yardage work after earlier carries moved the chains.

Packers still in control

Green Bay had dominated the first half. Jordan Love threw a touchdown pass and later scored on a quarterback sneak. Two interceptions by Prescott, including one by safety Evan Williams in the red zone, helped the Packers build their lead. Tight end Tucker Kraft also returned after an apparent leg injury.

The game was played at Lambeau Field in Week 6. Williams’ score gave Dallas life but the Packers remained in front and later extended the lead with field goals.

Williams continues to be a reliable red-zone option for the Cowboys this season.
