Ishq Vishk Rebound’s release date has been announced to be set at June 28, 2024.
On Friday, February 16, Rohit Saraf wrote on Instagram, “Ishq Vishk mein confusion ho sakta hai, lekin yeh announcement ekdam clear hai. #PyaarKaSecondRound.”
The movie is a sequel to the 2003 romcom Ishq Vishk, which starred Shahid Kapoor, Amrita Rao, Vishal Malhotra, and Shenaz Treasurywala in pivotal roles.
It performed moderately at the box office, but received positive ratings mostly, leading to securing different award nominations.
For the second instalment, makers have included lesser known faces, including Pashmina Roshan, Rohit Saraf, Naila Grewal, Jaanam Raaj, Abhishek Kumar, and Jibraan Khan.
Among these, Pashmina is Hrithik Roshan’s cousin, who will be seen on the big screen for the very first time.
Rohit is one who has already earned some recognition from The Sky Is Pink and Mismatched, whereas Naila was seen playing side roles in Thappad and Bareilly Ki Barfi.
On the other hand, Jaanam played Sahib Jamal in 2023’s period drama Taj: Divided by Blood and Abhishek appeared as Amrik Singh Virk in the television series Udaariyaan.
Jibraan was only spotted as a child actor in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Kyo Kii... Main Jhuth Nahin Bolta.
Now, they have all assembled under Nipun Avinash’s directon.
This is after a very long time that Bollywood is working on a romcom with unfamiliar youngsters.
