Sunil Grover has opened up about common misconceptions held by people regarding Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan being offended by his mimicry.

Sitting for a chat with Connect FM Canada, he cleared the intention behind jokes made on huge personalities.

The star said, “Beautiful thing here is that I am their fan. I enjoy working with them. If I am their fan, I won’t say anything that will offend them because I like them. I celebrate them.”

According to him, you only imitate those you love. That’s why Sunil was seen impersonating Navjot Singh Sidhu as a fun act on The Kapil Sharma Show.

His hilarious avatar was not just praised by audiences, it also received a ton of appreciation from the much-respected Sidhu paaji himself.

“If you don’t like someone, you can’t mimic them properly, but if something doesn’t land, then I am willing to hear all their scolding,” Sunil spoke on the risk of a bad punchline.

Notably, Krushna Abhishek is one such comedian who angered his famous uncle by making a joke at his expense.

Even those two have recently hugged out their differences after eight years of grudges from Govinda.
