PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi is all set to have a meeting with the former T2O captain Shaheen Shah Afridi amid the new captaincy controversy.

As per the reports, Naqvi scheduled a meeting with Afridi soon after the former captain expressed his reservation over Pakistan's Cricket Board's decision to reappoint Babar Azam as the white ball captain.

The meeting will take place in Kakul, where the Pakistan's cricket team is taking a fitness training at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) camp.

The main purpose of the meeting is to address Afridi's reservations regarding the statements linked with him in PCB's press release, which the cricketer said to have no clue about, in fact he found out about his statement through social media.

"I will always cherish the memories and the opportunity. As a team player, it is my duty to back our captain, Babar Azam. We are all one. Our aim is the same, to help Pakistan become the best team in the world," Afridi was quoted in PCB's press release.

Meanwhile, the sources close to Shaheen Afridi also confirmed that on the PCB's suggestion, he decided to keep the letter he had written in response to their statement.
