King Charles and Queen Camilla are set to host a Japan state visit in June after Buckingham Palace announced that Britain's King will resume public duties next week amid his cancer battle.

The official social media account of the Royal Family shared the image along with the announcement that Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan will travel to UK for a state visit.

In an posted image, the text wrote, “His Majesty The King has invited Their Majesties The Emperor and Empress of Japan to pay a State Visit to the UK in late June this year.”

It added, “The King and Queen will host the State Visit at Buckingham Palace.”


The post was captioned with, “The Emperor and Empress of Japan will pay a State Visit to the UK as the guests of His Majesty The King in late June this year.”

This update came shortly after Buckingham Palace released the official statement on Friday, noting, His majesty’s treatment programme will continue, but doctors are sufficiently pleased with the progress made so far that the king is now able to resume a number of public-facing duties,"

It further added, "His majesty is greatly encouraged to be resuming some public-facing duties and very grateful to his medical team for their continued care and expertise."
