Prince Harry has confirmed his return to UK to attend the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, however, King Charles might not be able to have a reunion with his son.

As reported by The Telegraph, the cancer-stricken monarch, who just resumed his royal duties after nearly three-month break is said to be “too busy” to meet the Duke of Sussex.

According to the outlet, the highly anticipated meeting between the father-son duo next week seems unlikely as King Charles’ "busy” schedule, amid his return to the public duties is coinciding with Harry’s visit on May 8, 2024.

King Charles will reportedly have his weekly audience with the Prime Minister on May 8, and is most likely to attend one of the two annual garden parties at the Buckingham palace on the same day, with a few other engagements as well.

While Prince Harry, who last visited UK in February to meet his father shortly after the King was diagnosed with cancer will be attending the thanksgiving service at London’s St Paul’s Cathedral to celebrate 10 years of the Invictus Games.

For the unversed, Prince Harry weakened ties with the royal family in 2021, after making shocking and derogatory claims about the royals in a bombshell interview one year after moving to US with his wife Meghan Markle.
