King Charles has surpassed Queen Elizabeth in wealth, amassing an estimated fortune of $770 million.

The British monarch's networth is reported as $770 million in the 2024 Sunday Times Rich List, ranking him as the 258th wealthiest individual in the U.K.

As per the report, King Charles' wealth has increased by $12 million since the list was released in 2023.

His wealth has surpassed his mother’s, the late Queen Elizabeth according to the 2022 Sunday Times Rich List.

Queen Elizabeth's personal wealth was at $468 million before her death in September of that year.

However, King Charles' personal wealth pales compared to Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster, who is godfather to Prince George, whose family’s net worth stands at a huge $12.8 billion, according to The Sunday Times.

A former advisor to the King informed t that Charles restored his wealth after his $21 million divorce from Princess Diana in 1996 by conserving revenues from the Duchy of Cornwall.

“He became prudent at tucking away some money from the Duchy after that wipeout [of capital],” the former aide said.

King Charles’ aide added, “We’re not talking vast sums here — several tens of millions, no more. There have been suggestions that Camilla brought a good deal of money into their relationship, but that’s really not correct.”

To note, The Duchy of Cornwall, valued at approximately $1 billion, comprises expansive land, farms, residences, and assorted assets.

Additionally, it leases commercial properties in London, Milton Keynes, and Cornwall.

The revenue generated sustains the Prince of Wales, his family, and his philanthropic activities.
