
The Royal family’s one hundred-year-old family portraits have taken the internet by storm as the Buckingham palace celebrates a centenary of the royal photography.
The RoyalCollectionTrust on their Instagram account shared a slew of black-and-white throwback photos of the royal family members to announce the new exhibition at Buckingham Palace on Friday, celebrating the photography evolution since 1920s till now.
Beautiful and nostalgic portraits of King Charles, Queen Elizabeth II, Kate Middleton, Paolo Roversi’s portrait of the Princess of Wales, Princess Margaret and other members of the royal family sent the Instagram into meltdown.

The series of photos was accompanied by a caption which read, “new exhibition at Buckingham Palace charts the evolution of royal photography from the 1920s to today.”
“Royal Portraits: A Century of Photography will exhibit more than 150 items of photographic prints, previously unreleased correspondence from the Royal Collection and the Royal Archives will be displayed.”
The caption also had a description of each photo in the caption, with the names and titles of all members of the royal family, starting from the late Queen to her then Prince, King Charles and his daughter-in-law Kate Middleton.
Soon after the royal portraits were displayed, fans flooded the comments section with their heartwarming reactions.
One fan commented, “Princess Ann in the last one looks like Harry!”
While another noted, “Beautiful…I can’t wait to see it!”
