The US Embassy situated in Islamabad organized a reception in honor of the Pakistani Cricket Team before their flight to the United States for playing ICC T20I World Cup 2024.

Donald Blome, who is the US Ambassador to Pakistan, played host for the athletic group to offer support right ahead of their first match.

He wished the boys with some earnest good luck and offered words of encouragement by instilling passion into them for lifting the shiny tournament trophy.

There was another segment incorporated into this event, where the diplomat gifted all Pakistani players a souvenir, which was a cricket ball.

Not only this, he had brought a signed letter of acknowledgement from the embassy as another present.

In return, the group gave Donald Blome an official cricket t-shirt made exclusively for Pakistani team.

Their second offering to him was a badge that was signed by players.

Cricket Board Chariman, Mohsin Naqvi, was also spotted in attendance at this reception, as told by Express Tribune.

Together, they played a round of cricket together so as to act as a warmup game for the gang before they face their actual opponents at the stadium.
