
Oleksandr Usyk has become the undisputed heavyweight boxing world champion after beating Tyson Fury in a thrilling match.
According to CNN, the Ukrainian boxer won the title in the early hours of Sunday, May 19, morning at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The 37-year-old has become the first boxer in the world to hold all four major heavyweight belts at the same time and also the first undisputed champion since April 2000, the end of Lennox Lewis’ reign.
The scorecard read 115-112 and 114-113 for the Usyk, with a third judge scoring it 114-113 for Fury.

Fury has lost for the first time the his 16 years of professional career, however, he will get an immediate opportunity to take revenge with a rematch planned for later this year.
Tearful Usyk, after winning the fight, said in a ring interview, “Thank you so much. … It’s a big opportunity for me, for my family, for my country. … It’s a great time, it’s a great day.”
Meanwhile, Fury disputed his loss after the match and claimed, “I believe I won that fight. I believe he won a few rounds, but I won more of them. Make no mistake, I won that fight, and I'll be back."
In response to that Usyk accepted that challenge saying he is ‘ready for rematch,’ but later added, “I don't think about rematch now, I want to rest."
