Meghan Markle has achieved yet another milestone after Prince Harry received a major offer from King Charles III.
The Duchess of Sussex made a debut appearance on the popular reality television show, MasterChef Australia, which marked a new historical record.
Over the weekend, the pre-recorded episode of the cooking competition show aired, which was recorded during Prince Harry and Meghan’s visit to Australia without their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, earlier this year.
On the first day of its release, the episode featuring the Suits alum pulled in 1.16 million viewers across the country, making it the programme’s strongest Sunday episode in three years.
Despite the backlash, the estranged British Royal Family member managed to grab fans’ attention, which also smashed the show’s streaming records, with 118,000 people watching via on-demand platforms overnight, a 62 per cent jump compared with the equivalent episode last year.
Meghan, 44, filmed her guest spot during a visit to Australia roughly three months before the episode aired.
During the episode, she also revealed her passion for cooking and her affection for the country as the twin motivations behind her decision to take part.
Duchess of Sussex UK trip
After their successful tour to Australia, Meghan also made a secret trip to Portugal and the United Kingdom, alongside Prince Harry and her two children.
The Duchess arrived in the UK nearly four years ago, in mid-July, to meet with the cancer-stricken monarch, King Charles III.
Notably, the emotional family reunion brought the chance for them to meet again with the monarch, as Charles III invited Prince Harry again to his homeland in September.
The Duke of Sussex is also offered to stay at Buckingham Palace during his upcoming trip, which he reportedly accepted in advance to avoid any mishap in the future.
So far, neither Meghan Markle nor Prince Harry has responded to these rumours.
