Christopher Nolan is soon going to hit a major new milestone.
On Friday, August 7, Deadline reported that Nolan’s latest movie The Odyssey is dominating the worldwide box office with its massive success.
The epic fantasy film, which features a star-studded cast, has crossed $1 billion mark at the global box office in three weeks after its release.
As per the outlet, the movie is soon set to give Christopher Nolan his biggest milestone by becoming his highest-grossing film ever, outshining his 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises, which collected $1.085 billion at the time.
According to the latest update, The Odyssey has grossed $429.7 million at the domestic box office, while its overseas collection is recorded at $570.3 million.
In an old interview, Christopher Nolan spoke about the film, saying, "It's a very nerve-racking" project of my time.
"You work on something a long time, you care about it a lot, but movies belong to the audience. So it's kind of in the eye of the beholder," he noted.
Apart from The Odyssey, the American filmmaker has also produced some of the most exciting projects, including Oppenheimer, Interstellar, Inception, Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight Rises.
