Ray LaMontagne’s Nashville concert took a concerning moment after he collapsed on stage during performance.
Over the weekend, the Grammy-winning singer delivered a performance at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, strumming his guitar as he crooned his 2004 hit Jolene.
However, the exciting concert soon took an alarming turn when the 53-year-old singer lose consciousness mid-performance and collapsed on stage, leaving fans in shock.
In a video shared by a concertgoer on Instagram, LaMontagne can be seen mesmerizing fans with his melodious voice before suddenly falling on stage, making the audience gasp during the terrifying moment, as two members of his team immediately rushed to his side.
Following the concerning incident, the Hold You in My Arms crooner’s team issued an update on his health via his official Instagram Stories, noting that he was being treated for “heat related dehydration,” as reported by Consequence.
“Thank you to everyone who came out to tonight’s show at the Ryman. Ray is in good hands with the local EMS and is being treated for heat related dehydration, he is doing well now and is grateful for everyone’s understanding,” read the note.
The statement added that LaMontagne “is looking forward to being onstage in Louisville tomorrow night.”
It is pertinent to mention that the Step Into Your Power hitmaker performed his Sunday, September 6 concert as scheduled, but did not address the Nashville incident that happened a night before.
