Meghan Markle appeared to face an awkward snub during a recent red-carpet appearance, with the moment quickly sparking attention online.

The Duchess of Sussex was reportedly left in an awkward moment at David Foster’s charity gala in Victoria, Canada, on Friday evening.

The 16-time Grammy winner hosted the David Foster Foundation’s milestone 40th anniversary event, which was attended by Harry and Meghan.

Footage seemingly captured Foster passing Meghan without acknowledging her while the couple stood for photographs.

In the viral clip, Meghan appears to reach out to Foster as he approaches, but he walks by without acknowledging her, with Harry watching nearby.

Former American Idol star Katharine McPhee, Foster’s wife, later placed an arm around Meghan as the foursome posed for pictures.

The Suits alum opted for an elegant black one-shoulder Greta Constantine gown, completing her look with diamond and sapphire earrings once owned by Princess Diana.

Harry opted for a timeless black tuxedo and bow tie to complement his wife’s sophisticated look.

One X user declared: "Tensions on the red carpet! Meghan Markle publicly snubbed by host David Foster. Watch as he refuses to greet her and ignores her reaching hand. Ouch!"

Some viewers saw the moment differently, arguing that Meghan was simply reaching out to “guide him past.”

The clip sparked speculation about tension between the two couples. Meghan later shared a selfie with Harry from their “charity event date night” and footage of them meeting bagpipe performers at the gala.

The video showed the couple walking down a corridor lined with bagpipers as they made their entrance, with Meghan telling the musicians, “My husband loves bagpipes!”

The David Foster Foundation, founded in 1986, provides financial support to Canadian families whose children need life-saving organ transplants while raising awareness about organ donation in Canada and the US.
