Princess Eugenie's yet another public blow to disgraced mother, Sarah Ferguson once again hints at their frosty relationship.
On Monday, August 17, the Princess of York turned to her official Instagram account to announce the name of her newborn daughter's name and the meaning behind it, alongside her first-ever photos.
Sharing photos of her and Jack Brooksbank's daughter, Eugenie wrote, "2 weeks ago today we welcomed our girl to the world. And since then we've had the most special, cosy and love-filled time."
King Charles niece continued, "We are so happy to share Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank. Named after three people we love and admire past and present, including her Great-Grandmother who we hold close in our hearts."
"Her name is part of English and Portuguese history, two places we love and call home," added the Princess of York.
Now sources close to the former Duchess of York - who fell from grace last year, after her explosive ties with Jeffrey Epstein were exposed, have offered insights into her true feelings on Eugenie's fresh blow.
"Sarah tried not to be upset when Beatrice didn’t use either of her names for her two girls, but that was before she was exiled in shame," a source told New Idea.
They continued, "She wouldn’t dare to even expect Eugenie to honour her in this way, not now, not after the Epstein nightmare."
"It doesn’t make it any easier, knowing she’ll be lucky if she ever gets to spend time with her new granddaughter," added the insider.

Explaining the meaning of Princess Eugenie's daughter name, the source noted, "Adelaide was always a special name for Eugenie – she wore Queen Adelaide’s diamond earrings as hair ornaments when she married Jack, the happiest day of her life."
"Annina is after Eugenie’s best friend – and possible godmother to Adelaide – the Countess Annina Bruges von Pfuel [a Bavarian costume/set designer whose wedding Eugenie attended in 2024]" they added.
