Earl Charles Spencer's new announcement has seemingly hinted at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's visit to Althorp House.
Taking to his Instagram stories on Friday, August 21, the ninth Earl of Spencer family shared a collage of his late sister Princess Diana's gravesite photos with a crucial update.
Charles announced that "Althorp closes for public on 1 September" - a day after the Spencer family will be marking Diana's 30th death anniversary, who died at 36 in 1997.
Although the reason of the closer of Diana's gravesite is still unclear, timings of the announcement hint at The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's possible visit - who have decided to move back to the UK next month for an "extended period".
Earlier this week, Charles Spencer sparked a frenzy by announcing a memoir on Diana's life, which will be published across the UK on September 22, 2026.
In a press release to announce Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, Charles noted, “The aim of this book is to tell the truth about Diana from her brother’s perspective, just as I attempted to do when speaking at her funeral.”
“As with my eulogy, I want to speak on Diana’s behalf and do so in an openly positive way” he added.
Revealing the reason of penning Diana's memoir, the British author revealed that he decided to write the book after being "inundated" with requests for interviews about his late sister to mark her 30th death anniversary.
"This has convinced me to write down my own thoughts and memories, once and for all, rather than having the discomfort of again reading the opinions of others, many of which are based on untruths that have become accepted over time,” he noted.
Princess Diana died in a Paris in a fatal car accident when her son Prince William and Prince Harry, were 15 and 12 years old, respectively.
