Kartik Aaryan has shared first update after undergoing a major procedure.
The Chandu Champion actor recently underwent a knee surgery after suffering an injury while filming an action scene on the set of Kabir Khan’s untitled film.
According to the latest statement released by the actor’s representative, Kartik is currently recovering and is expected to be “back on set soon.”
"Kartik Aaryan sustained a knee injury while performing an action sequence on the set of his film. His surgery was completed successfully, and he is now back home, resting and recovering. He will be back on set soon," his spokesperson said.
Speaking to India Today, an insider, before the surgery, shared, “Kartik was admitted to Fortis Raheja Hospital and is under medical care. The doctors will perform his knee surgery in a day, after which he will have to rest for a few days. He should then be able to resume his work commitments.”
Kartik Aaryan’s new project
In the upcoming project, Kartik Aaryan portrays a kickboxing coach who is training a young Kashmiri girl.
The film, a sports drama, is based on the life of Tajamul Islam, a real-life athlete.
While the name of the film has yet to be revealed, it is the first time Aaryan is taking on a role as a producer, launching his production house, Dopamine Studios.
Kabir Khan Films is also co-producing the film, which was filmed both in Mumbai and Kashmir.
Kartik Aaryan wins National Film Award
The actor’s ongoing project marks his first after he won the first National Film Award for his performance in Chandu Champion, which was also in collaboration with Kabir Khan.

The movie, directed by Kabir Khan, saw the actor lose 18 kilograms for his challenging role.
