San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York was arrested on Sunday morning in East Palestine, Ohio, during an operation involving local police and the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force.
Authorities initially charged the 46-year-old executive with “engaging in prostitution.”
Plea bargain and sentence
Court records show prosecutors amended the prostitution charge to misdemeanor disorderly conduct. York pleaded no contest on Monday to two misdemeanor charges: disorderly conduct and “possessing criminal tools.”
A judge sentenced him to one day in jail with credit for time served along with a $1,150 fine.
Seized items and restitution
As part of the plea agreement, authorities returned York’s cell phone. However, court records confirm that $160 seized during his arrest “was to be given to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force.”
York also completed an online course as part of the resolved case.
