Taking to his Instagram account, the Deadpool & Wolverine star has shared a big update on his upcoming film, Mayday.
After publicly urging the Avengers: Doomsday creator for a cameo in the December release with Hugh Jackman, Ryan is gearing up for the adventure-action movie.
Taking to his Instagram account, Blake's husband unveiled the exciting trailer of his new movie, with a surprise update.

Mayday will show a United States Navy pilot on a top-secret mission during the Cold War; however, the tables turned when he was trapped behind enemy lines.
His only chance of survival is to form an alliance with an eccentric ex-KGB agent.
The spine-chilling film is set for release on September 4th, 2026.

As the trailer gained momentum on social media, Ryan Reynold received harsh scrutiny for showing the gesture of befriending the Russians, calling it a Hollywood agenda: "So, Americans befriending Russians is back on Hollywood's agenda? Laying info groundwork for President's visit to mother russia?"
Another mocked, "Blake and Ryan have made a mockery of domestic violence and sexual harassment. It’s an insult to ACTUAL victims. Survivors are watching, and we will NEVER forget."
"He actually opened up the comments and boy did they not disappoint," another lashed out.
Despite the harsh scrutiny, Ryan continued to support his movie as he took to his Instagram stories on Sunday, August 30th, to confirm that his film is arriving on September 4th.
This update marked the first since his wife, Blake Lively, was awarded $400 million by the court after she requested $800 million for her attorney fees in Justin Baldoni's harassment case.

Earlier this week, U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman awarded Lively $363,245.40 in attorneys' fees and an additional $44,206.35 in costs, bringing the total to $407,451.75.
The award was substantially less than the amount requested by the It Ends With Us actress.
After the ruling was made public, Justin Baldoni's legal representative, Bryan Freedman, declared the decision his legal victory and took a pointed shot at Blake, accusing the actress of attempting to use the legal system for her "own personal gain."
So far, neither Blake Lively nor Ryan Reynolds has broken their silence over the matter.
