Microsoft Outlook outage was hit by a major outage all across the globe, affecting thousands of users engaged with the app.
Notably, the services have started to return back to normal after partial restoration.
As per Downdetector, a web outage tracking site, users started reporting issues at around 6 PM on Monday, August 31, with reports peaking at 300 reports around 8 PM. In total, nearly 6,000 reports were received.

Currently, the Microsoft Outlook outage has seemingly resolved now, with no complaints being reported regarding signing in, sending and receiving emails, searching mailbox content and completing other email-related operations.
Shortly after users of the service started experiencing issues, Microsoft stated, "We're continuing to deploy our mitigation across the affected environment and users should begin to see gradual recovery to mail flow. In parallel, we're restarting targeted sections of the affected infrastructure to aid the recovery of the downstream scenarios. The American tech giant warned that users could continue to experience different levels of disruption and email delays while recovery efforts continued.
