In a groundbreaking update, Dyson has officially released the CameraJet, a smart toothbrush that combines a built-in camera, machine learning and an accurate mouthrinse jet to easily clear hard-to-reach gaps between teeth.

Revealed by James Dyson in Paris on September 1, 2026, the recently introduced device is integrated with the cutting-edge technology for Gap Optical Targeting, powered by a 100,000-pixel macro lens.

The camera scans 28 images per second, identifies interdental gaps within 100 milliseconds and automatically triggers a conical burst of mouthrinse to help dislodge plaque while brushing.

As per Dyson, the latest technology was developed more than six years ago to combine brushing, flossing and rinsing into a single routine.

The company mentioned that nearly nine in 10 individuals never floss on a regular basis, while the average brushing session lasts about 45 seconds.

The CameraJet's conical jet is particularly designed to replace the needle-style spray used by conventional water flossers. Testing conducted with the National University of Singapore discovered that the system can remove up to 69% more plaque in hard-to-reach areas than leading sonic toothbrushes.

An anti-gravity 12.5ml tank assisted in maintaining consistent mouthrinse delivery regardless of the device's orientation, while its docking station can easily refill the tank within only three seconds and charge the toothbrush.

The brush head features firmer inner bristles for stains and softer outer bristles for the gumline. RFID tracking monitors brush-head usage and indicates when replacement is needed.

Moreover, the CameraJet connects to the MyDyson app via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, providing guided routines, coverage maps and personalised feedback.
