Is steam down right now?
In the USA, nearly 72% of the problems are related to the server connection, other 14% users are facing login-related issues and 8% are experiencing download related problems.
Why is Steam down?
Steam's server status page has linked the ongoing outage with PHP, with the page addressing the issue saying, "The Team Fortress Wiki is temporarily unavailable as a precautionary measure due to the disclosure and fix of two critical flaws in PHP used as part of MediaWiki, which would allow for potential host server takeover. See the Team Fortress Wiki's account on Bluesky for further status updates. The Valve developer wiki is back online."
