Dolly Parton's Hollywood Walk of Fame star was vandalised following the legend's death at the age of 80.
It has been reported that the star is in the process of being replaced, after her name was scratched out of the honour.
On Tuesday, September 1, crews were seen placing a new star in her honour to replace the defaced one.

Dolly Parton was awarded her star on the Walk of Fame in 1985 in a dual ceremony with Sylvester Stallone.
The pair costarred in Rhinestone in 1984, in which Parton played fictional country artist Jake Farris, who vowed to her New York City venue manager in a bet that she could turn anyone into a country music star.
Her boss, played by Rob Leibman, selected Stallone's character, a can driver named Nick Martinelli.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce reacts to the vandalism
In a statement shared with PEOPLE, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce said that repairs to Parton's star are already underway.
"A fan went to the star yesterday and reported on social that the star was vandalised with many scratches," Ana Martinez, spokesperson for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, said.
She added, "This repair was set up late last week and the crew just completed the first part of making said repairs."
"The star repairs are currently ongoing and are done by the Hollywood Historic Trust which maintains and repairs the Walk of Fame stars. The star will cure and will be polished on Friday for fans to enjoy."
The incident took place shortly after the country icon's death at 80 on August 25.

Parton's nephew, Bryan Seaver, announced his aunt's death in an Instagram video, with her team later revealing that she faced a brief battle with cancer before passing away.
Besides making a name for herself in Hollywood and the music industry, Dolly Parton was known for her generous personality.
Parton's most noteworthy charitable effort is her Imagination Library, which has provided books to American children from underserved communities and donated more than 200 million books worldwide since its founding in 1995.
