South Korean actress and hit show Running Man star Ji Ye-eun and dancer Vata have announced wedding plans after a year of romance.
On Wednesday, September 2, Vata's agency, Ara, said that the pair "will start a new journey as husband and wife", adding that they "have promised to become each other's most reliable companions based on deep trust and love".
Meanwhile, Ji's agency noted, "The two promised to share each other's lives based on deep faith. Please give warm congratulations and support for the couple as they embark on a new beginning."
Vata and Ji Ye-eun set to tie the knot on a special day
The pair are set to exchange vows on December 12, which is especially meaningful for the couple, as it is Vata's birthday.
Ji and Vata first publicly confirmed their relationship in April, with reports suggesting that they first drew closer through their shared faith after meeting as entertainment industry colleagues.
The dancer supported Ji Ye-eun by creating the choreography for the song Milkshake when the project group Chungju Ji-ssi, formed by Ji Ye-eun and Jee Seokjin, took the stage at Waterbomb Seoul 2025 last year.
Moreover, Vata also made headlines, as it was shared that he has stayed by Ji Ye-eun's side and supported her when she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and halted activities.
About Ji Ye-eun and Vata's careers
A graduate of Korea National University of Arts, Ji debuted in 2017 with the web-based drama How To and later gained attention through appearances on TV variety shows, including SNL Korea, Running Man and Office Workers.
Vata, whose real name is Kim Tae-hyun, is the leader of dance crew We Dem Boyz, which finished as runners-up on Mnet's Street Man Fighter in 2022.
He has choreographed hit songs, including Zico's New Thing and BLACKPINK member Jennie's Like Jennie.
